Meet Ryan Carpenter — Deadlift PR holder, 5:45 AM early-bird, and an anchor of the Graviton community.

Ryan has been bringing his energy to Graviton since August 2024. This year, Ryan has been absolute proof of what long-term dedication looks like: he officially earned his spot on the 8-Month Full Year Aggregate Goal Achievers Leaderboard, racking up an impressive 103 classes through August!

Our Aggregate Goal is a special milestone created to recognize members who show incredible long-term commitment, even when life, travel, or busy schedules interrupt a consecutive monthly streak. Ryan stayed the course, hit his targets over the long haul, and proved that consistency always wins.

From Stale Home Workouts to Electric Energy

Before joining Graviton, Ryan was training at home. But, as many home-gym athletes know, solo workouts can eventually start to feel stale. He needed a spark.

The moment Ryan walked into Graviton, he knew he had found the right fit. Between the plethora of functional fitness equipment, the palpable enthusiasm from the coaching staff, and the welcoming vibes of the member community, the energy in the room was contagious. He was captivated on day one.

The Power of the 5:45 AM Crew

These days, you’ll find Ryan putting in work before the sun comes up. He is a proud member of our legendary 5:45 AM "Early Bird" class—though he’s quick to admit he wasn't always a morning person!

Ryan made a deliberate commitment to become an early riser so he could complete his training while the rest of his household was still asleep. Now, it’s a seamless part of his daily routine. Plus, as Ryan puts it: "he 5:45 AM crew are best people and I really can't imagine training without them."

A PR Moment to Remember

When asked about a moment at Graviton he’ll never forget, Ryan recently hit a massive Personal Record (PR) on his deadlift. But for Ryan, the number on the barbell wasn't the best part of the memory. Ryan shares that it wasn't just about lifting the weight. All the members around him paused what they were doing to stand behind him and support the lift. When he finished, he turned around to find fist bumps, high-fives, and words of encouragement. Ryan shares,

“It felt so good to have the community pull together around me”.

Stronger Together

To Ryan, that deadlift moment perfectly sums up what makes the gym special. He shares that the best part of being at Graviton is that everyone genuinely gets to know and support one another. It isn't about being the fastest, the strongest, or the best in the room—it’s about showing up, lifting each other up, and achieving big things as a team.

Whether he's setting early morning alarms or setting new PRs under the barbell, Ryan’s dedication and team-first mindset inspire everyone around him. We’re so lucky to have him on the team!
